Subject: A new year at school     (what the email is about)

Hi Anirudh  (Greeting)
How are you doing? I thought I'd write to see if you're settling in your new school.

I know it must be challenging to get used to a new city, home and school all at once. I hope you have made some friends there. I already miss you here.

This year,  Ms Sweta is taking English for us. I enjoy her classes the most. This week she has given us an assignment on Black Beauty. I am looking forward to reading it. Have you read the book? Let's share notes after I finish it too.

I still go for basketball practice every evening, but it's no longer the same without you.

What about you? Tell me all about your new school and teachers. Do you plan to continue playing basketball there?

It's time for me to do my homework now. So, l'll sign off. Please convey my regards to Uncle and Aunty.
Do write back!

Bye!    (Closing)
(Sender's name)
